Research priorities for childhood deafness and hearing loss

We’re working with Aston University, Lancaster University and the University of Manchester to identify the most important research questions about childhood deafness and hearing loss.

We invited deaf children, young people, parents, carers and professionals to take part in two surveys to share their views on which research topics should be prioritised.

How will the survey results be used?

The project team will use the responses to create a top 10 list of questions to prioritise for future research.

This list will help organisations focus their health funding and research on topics that make a real difference to deaf children and their families.

When will the top 10 list be ready?

The final top 10 research questions will be published later this year. We’ll share the list here when it’s ready.
